Naturi Naughton and Adrienne Houghton are on the road to healing after many years of drama.
Fans may recall that the former 3LW groupmates briefly reconciled back in 2017 on ‘The Real’ which Adrienne co-hosts, and discussed some of their drama from their time in their girl group with the third member, Kiely Williams.
If you remember, 3LW split after some serious drama that resulted in Naughton leaving the group in the midst of their tour and album promotion. Back in 2002, Naughton told MTV that for months management had been trying to push her out of the group and eventually she left after an argument with Michelle Williams, 3LW’s manager and Kiely’s mom, escalated.
“There was an argument between me and Michelle [Williams], and Kiely and Adrienne [Bailon] are cursing me out. And before I know it, Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face —mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do! Nobody has the right to hit me. That’s not what I’m here for… to be physically abused. So I said, ‘Get me a flight back to Newark, New Jersey,’ and they wouldn’t even help me get a ticket.”
Over the years, Naughton went on to have a successful acting career starring in several hit shows, and films and putting the past of 3LW behind her. Then in 2017 during the promo for season 4 of her show ‘Power,’ she stopped by ‘The Real’ and patched things up with Haughton.
Fast forward to 2022, it looks like the two are making strides at rebuilding their relationship and making things right.
On Wednesday morning (June 1), Naturi took to her IG to share snaps of her and Adrienne out and about presumably from the night before. She playfully captioned the post “#2LW 😜 #LetTheHealingBegin” while Adrienne also shared the post on her page as well.
The reunion comes after Naturi’s 2019 sitdown with TV One’s ‘Uncensored’ where she dished on the 3LW here as well which prompted Kiely Williams to clap back at many of her claims over what went down during their time in 3LW.
Most recently in 2020, Kiely revealed that she has no intention of ever apologizing, or reconciling with Naturi, and even took fresh jabs at her and called Adrienne a liar.
Good to see Naturi and Adrienne being real women and embracing growth, maturity, and forgiveness.
