Usher and Chris Brown brought their blockbuster R&B Tour to Nashville over the weekend, taking over Nissan Stadium on Saturday, July 25—and an awkward interaction with one concertgoer quickly became one of the night’s biggest viral moments.
During one portion of Usher’s set, the R&B superstar brought a woman onstage for what was seemingly intended to be one of his signature fan-interaction moments.
However, the woman appeared noticeably reserved as Usher attempted to entertain and engage with her. While many fans would likely jump at the opportunity to receive a personal serenade from the singer, she did not appear particularly impressed—or comfortable—with the attention.
Usher eventually stopped the interaction and told the crowd, “I don’t think she want to be on the stage, huh? Give it up for somebody else!”
He then directed her offstage, ending the moment before moving forward with the show.
Video of the exchange quickly spread across Instagram and other social-media platforms, with viewers describing the woman as uninterested, uncomfortable or simply overwhelmed.
