After footage surfaced from a sermon which RHOA star Porsha Williams led at a church in Georgia in 2010, spectators began to accuse the Evangelist turned reality star for having malicious intent in her sermon where she proclaimed that gays and lesbians need to be saved.
If you are like me, when you saw the video you realized that there was no ill will on her part, and in fact it appeared that Porsha was spreading a message of acceptance, tolerance and love for all. However many felt that Porsha was speaking negatively to the gay community as she compared them to the likes of prostitutes, drug dealers and other “sinners” who needed to be saved.
Well after receiving backlash from social media and bloggers, Porsha was forced to issue an apology to those she offended.
In a video obtained by Radaronline, Porsha expresses her remorse for the speech caught on tape she gave at the High Praise Christian Center Ministries
“The sermon that was shown was shown not in its entirety. Therefore the message was omitted.” revealed Porsha
She continues “I apologize that those words hurt the LGBT community, my fans and my supporters. Life is a journey and I’m growing every day and I continue to encourage everyone to love each other unconditionally.”
