Ciara’s future husband and rap’s reigning hook man, Future, stars in this editorial for Fashionisto #10 rocking some of the best in menswear from Givenchy, Prada, Versace, Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane and more. With an new album out titled Honest, the hip-hop star is looking to solidify his name in the music scene. Future already understands the powerful marriage between music and fashion and that may be due to the fact that his fiance has almost every designer at her disposal. He even named a song “Maison Margiela” named after the popular brand. After taking in a few shows during Milan Fashion Week, Future instantly became “the one to watch.” Inside the pages, he opens up about the love of fashion he shares with his boo and much more. On making the album:
“It’s phenomenal. It’s aggressive and I was inspired throughout different moments while making the album. I was inspired by just doing shows.”
On him and Ciara’s love of fashion:
“We both love fashion, so it’s definitely a great part of our relationship. She puts me on to some cool brands and I do the same for her. We’re always looking for what’s next.”
On hip-hop’s influence on fashion:
“It’s cool. Hip-hop has always been highly influenced by fashion from its beginning. It’s now interesting to see it flipped around with fashion being influenced by hip hop. These things go in cycles so it’s always cool to see it come back around.”
