Everyone remembers the legendary beef between 50 Cent and Ja Rule/Murder Inc. which arguably started the downfall of the INC movement.
In many of his records 50 jabbed at all INC artist including former INC princess Ashanti. Many years have passed and Ashanti says things have been settled between she and 50.
During a recent interview with DJ Whoo Ashanti talked about how longtime boyfriend now ex boyfriend Nelly defended her honor against the rap titan at a public appearance at the MTV VMA’s and made him apologize to her:
“The first time we (me and 50) kind of ‘spoke’ so to speak, we were at the VMA’s in Vegas and Nelly was like ‘Yo, you need to apologize to my girl”
“We were in front of everybody and you know, 50 has a personality, he was like ‘Ashanti I’m sorry! I’m sorry, Ashanti! And everybody was dying laughing”
Obviously, everybody knew about the beef, G-Unit, Murder Inc. It wasn’t anything personal. It was explained to me that sometimes you’re guilty by association. It’s part of what happens”
