Janet Jackson has always been one to give back to her community, through her music, speaking on social issues and being a voice for black women and women in general. Now for Mother’s Day 2018, Jan has teamed up with Essence ahead of her headlining performance at Essence Festival in July, to surprise four single mothers from New Orleans.
The super star, who will be honored next Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards with the Icon Award, gave the unsuspecting mothers a treat that they certainly will never forget. Get into it below.
