Yikes! Spinderella Asks Judge For Restraining Order Against Salt-N-Pepa+The Duo Responds

The drama between Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella is getting more intense and has taken a shocking turn unfortunately.

Following Spinderella’s departure from the iconic group earlier this years and her law suit against them for unpaid royalties, breach of contract, trademark infringement, and fraud–she has reportedly now requested a temporary restraining order against her former group mates according to reports from The Jasmine Brand:

A hearing on her request was scheduled to be heard in a Dallas. Spinderella’s attorney, Paul Stafford, spoke up on her behalf and told the court.

“Spinderella is seeking injunctive relief due to the immediate and irreparable harm that has been caused to her due to the acts and omissions of the defendants. Before we filed this lawsuit, we intended to resolve the matter with all the defendants, but we were unable to do so, and it’s unfortunate that the defendants have chosen not to try and honor Spinderella’s role in the group or their financial or legal commitments to her. So she was in a position where she had to force her rights and protect her brand, so that’s what we’re doing.”

According to The Blast, S-n-P has responded to Spin’s lawsuit and claims with the following statement:

Salt and Pepa say, “After decades of friendship, Spinderella has embarked on a smear campaign, and sued her friends, based on blatantly erroneous assertions. The truth, however, is that Salt and Pepa have always tried to do right by Spinderella.”

Spinderella decided to quit performing with Salt and Pepa years ago and asked to rejoin the group “Salt N Pepa” in December, 2013. Nostalgia and the desire to help a friend motivated Salt and Pepa to agree. They offered to pay Spinderella on a per show basis to perform with the group. Spinderella, grateful for the opportunity, agreed, and they performed together again.

Things unfortunately did not work out and Salt-N-Pepa spent months trying to close open issues—like how they would each refer to their shared history going forward as they each pursued respective careers—in the hope they could part as friends.

This is getting very messy.
