The surviving members of 702 are opening up for their first televised interview since the death of their sister and member, Irish Grinstead.
Members, Meelah Williams and Lemisha Fields (who is also Irish’s sister) visited the Tamron Hall Show this week in-person and virtual, to discuss the loss of Irish, their legacy, and plans to move forward with the group in her honor.
As fans remember, fans noticed that Irish had been absent from various group performances for most of 2023 leading her group members to issue a statement revealing that she was dealing with undisclosed personal matters. Many assumed it was medical related, then in September 2023 it was announced that Irish had passed while her cause of death was still not revealed.
Her sister/member, Misha issued a statement at the time:
“It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that my beautiful sister and friend has passed away this evening. She has had a long battle and she is finally at peace. That girl was as bright as the stars! She was not only beautiful on the outside, but also within. Sharing the stage with her was a joy I will cherish for the rest of my life! We, the family ask for prayers and respect for our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family.
