The cast of ‘A Different World’ have reunited and we’re so here for it!

Jada Pinkett Smith, Kadeem Hardison, Dawnn Lewis, Darryl M. Bell, Charnele Brown, Cree Summer, Glynn Turman, Ajai Sanders, Karen Malina White, and Debbie Allen have reunited in honor of the NBC sitcom’s 35th anniversary on a recent episode of Pinkett-Smith’s hit show ‘Red Table Talk.’

While the cast reunion is full of love, memories, and good feels, there’s also some shade dished. Jasmine Guy reveals that she almost quit the show during its first season due to disrespect that the cast experienced specifically Lisa Bonet and Sinbad (who were both absent from the reunion).

“I gave my two week notice during the first season…I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in this anymore.’”

She revealed that when producers asked her what her gripes were, she kept it real with them:

“‘I feel like Lisa Bonet is disrespected in front of the audience…You are disrespecting the cast.’”

“[They said] ‘Well has it ever happened to you?’ I said, ‘If it happens to her, it happens to me,'” she continued. “You are disrespecting the cast. You are disrespecting Sinbad. It doesn’t have to happen to me. I felt like it was happening to me.”

The episode of ‘Red Table Talk’ will also feature appearances by Patti LaBelle and Marisa Tomei and begins streaming Monday, Dec. 19 at 9 am PT/12 pm ET on Facebook Watch.
