On Saturday (January 16) fans of Aaliyah celebrated what would have been her 42nd birthday and took to social media to share their fave image, videos, and moments from the singer’s short but successful life.
Ahead of that, the estate of the famed singer issued an official statement giving an update on the status of her music coming to streaming services.
Fans have long demanded that her albums be available on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. to no avail.
Then last year, her estate revealed that plans were finally in place to get all of her albums back out to the world, but since then there have been no updates…until now.
