Kandi Burruss made headlines on Sunday night while hosting the Grammy pre-show on E! and walking the red carpet where she broke the news that she will be departing ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ ahead of its upcoming season 16.

As fans know, the show is in the middle of a cast shakeup and Bravo decides how to move forward with the show, which Kandi revealed was part of her decision to leave.

On Monday, Andy Cohen took his radio show to address Kandi’s departure and revealed that they discussed it beforehand via a phone call with the two of them and Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker.

He also took the moment to honor her time on the network and teased that she has more projects in the works at Bravo, and thanked her for her business advice as it pertains to some recent dealings with RHOA over the years and recently.

He also teased that the long-awaited update on the status of RHOA is coming soon, but that he wanted to address Kandi’s departure first.
