Following his emotional visit to “The Breakfast Club” on Thursday (Nov 4), singer August Alsina has unveiled the artwork and dark trailer for his new album “This Thing Called Life”.
The sophomore album is set to arrive on Dec 11 and is preceded by the singles “Hip Hop”, “Why I Do It”, & “Song Cry”. In the visual trailer, August is seen struggling with his demons which he referenced during his Breakfast Club visit.
He revealed that the album and specifically “Song Cry” tells the story of everything he is going through from his rise to fame, deep family issues, suicidal thoughts, depression and more. If you missed his interview get into it HERE and view the album trailer below.
“This Thing Called Life” marks the follow-up to August’s 2014 debut “Testimony“, which opened at No. 2.
