While social media went into a frenzy on Wednesday, as Beyonce‘s new album ‘Renaissance‘ was leaked online, and made its rounds, Bey is already looking ahead to the future.
On Thursday, just a day before the album’s release, the iconic superstar took to her website to confirm what many had already suspected. ‘Renaissance’ Act 1 is the first of a 3 Act series.
While she didn’t reveal when fans can expect Acts 2-3, she did give a bit more context around what inspired the album, which she says was birthed entirely during the pandemic.

“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.
It allowed me to feel free and adventurous… My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.
