Beyonce is heading to the Oscars!
Speculation of her performing on the show started just days ago, and on Tuesday it was officially confirmed that she will indeed take the stage on Sunday night.
According to confirmed reports, Bey will sing in one of the slots of Best Original Song contenders on the 94th soiree for the nominated song (co-written with Dixson) ‘Be Alive’ from the film ‘King Richard,’ based on the Venus and Serena Williams origin story and their father, Richard Williams.
The news came Tuesday evening and was confirmed by the show’s producers, Will Packer and Shayla Cowan. The performance is slated to take place via satellite from a Compton tennis court that Venus and Serena used to train at with their father.
The Best Song performance lineup will also include Billie Eilish and Finneas with ‘No Time To Die,’ Reba McEntire with ‘Somehow You Do,’ and Sebastian Yatra with ‘Dos Oruguitas.’
The Oscars air live this Sunday from the Dolby Theatre on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m and will be hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes.
