After months of speculation it has finally been confirmed that TV One has cancelled their hit Atlanta version of ‘R&B Divas’. According to Eurweb:

The fate of the shows was already greenlit by those who ran the network before its recent takeover by former Turner and UP-TV executive Brad Siegel, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The newspaper goes on to mention that the cancellations were coming in light of doubts surrounding the renewal of the shows, which were on the bubble for months.

Despite drawing decent ratings (366,000 viewers for season three counting three days of DVR usage), “R&B Divas Atlanta” consistently lost key cast member such as Faith Evans and Nicci Gilbert, who left after season two, along with LaTocha Scott. In addition, season three divas Angie Stone, LaTavia Roberson have decided not to return as well as Keke Wyatt.

According to Syleena Johnson, her, Meelah Williams and original diva Monifah Carter were the only ones willing to move forward with “R&B Divas Atlanta,” which aired its final reunion show on July 9, 2014. Syleena even confirmed to Jojojocrews.com exclusively that the show was set to return, but apparently the network had other plans.

Meanwhile the West Coast spin off ‘R&B Divas: LA’ is still up and running and just wrapped its  drama filled third season. Wendy Williams is returning as the host of the reunion special set to air on Wednesday, April 22 and April 29.

All the divas Lil’ Mo, Chanté Moore, Michel’le,  Leela James, Brave, Stacy Francis and even Chrisette Michele who left the show midway through the season, are all in attendance.

“It is always a blast hosting the reunion show with the ladies and getting them to spill the tea. Viewers are going to be shocked by the shade the divas are throwing this year, you won’t want to miss it,” said Williams.

Check out a first look at the upcoming reunion below.
