Following the release of his first album in nearly 15 years, ‘Black Messiah’, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in December soul crooner D’Angelo has just announced his upcoming U.S. tour in support of the project.
The 14 city outing titled ‘The Second Coming Tour’ is set to hit major markets such as DC, Los Angelas, Texas, California and more. Tickets for most of the dates go on sale May 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
D’Angelo will be accompanied by his band, The Vanguard, which includes The Who bassist Pino Palladino, guitarists Jesse Johnson and Isaiah Sharkey, drummer Chris “Daddy” Dave, keyboardist Cleo “Pookie” Sample, and vocalists Kendra Foster, Charlie “Red” Middleton, and Jermain Holmes.
