Gabby Douglas is fresh off of her big win at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and has already lined up her next big gig and I am so here for it. It has been confirmed that the 20 year old gymnist will now serve as a main judge for the 2017 Miss America pageant.
“Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year,” Douglas, 20, said in a statement. “The contestants are a great example of strong women across America and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent.”
Gabby isn’t the only black girl magic representative holding it down on the panel, singer Ciara will also serve as a judge for the pageant. Her participation was confirmed by EW.
Congrats to both gorgeous ladies, we will be tuning in just for you. The 96th annual Miss America competition will air live from Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
