Drake has been in the studio crafting his new album Views From The 6 for quite some time now, but no release date was in sight..until now.
According to Complex, the rappers OVO Sound Radio is aired live on Apple Music’s Beats 1 on Saturday, April 9. It was here that he just announced that Views From the 6 is dropping on April 29. “It’s not a short ting. There’s a lot of music on there,” he says.

According to XXL, there is also speculation that the album may be a multi disc set.
Earlier this week, Six God released two new songs supposedly from the album – “Pop Style” with Jay Z and Kanye West that didn’t quite impact like people thought it would, and “One Dance,” a collaboration with Wizkid and Kyla that seemed to be more popular off bat.
Announcing the album on OVO Sound Radio tonight (April 9), Drake said, “It’s not a short ting. There’s a lot of music on there.” Rumors of the album being a double or triple disc have abounded online, with people saying there’ll be a Black and White disc of the album. That might be supported by the covers for both aforementioned singles – “Pop Style” being black (and a darker song) while “One Dance” is white (and a much lighter song).
Are you ready for the new Drake album?
