Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are about to take the world, and the charts by storm once again!
On Monday, Cardi took to social media to announce her newest single ‘Bongos‘ featuring her former ‘WAP’ co-star.
The new song will serve as the latest hit seemingly pulled from Cardi’s long-overdue sophomore album, and will be the duo’s first time on a track together since their 2020 smash hit ‘WAP’ dominated radio, the charts, and became a cultural phenom.
The track went on to sell over 7 million records according to RIAA, so the two are hoping that lightning will strike twice.
The news comes off the heels of Cardi recently revealing to Vogue México y Latinoamérica that she is finishing up the artwork for her sophomore album and teased that she would not release any more collaborations until the actual album drops.
“I’m not going to release any more collaborations. I’m going to put out my next solo single. Right now, I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up. Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. They did when I released ‘WAP’ [with Megan Thee Stallion] and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”
