Following the airing of TLC’s biopic on VH1 in 2013 we compiled a list of our top five biopics we would like to see. In that list was Aaliyah, and Whitney Houston which both have since happened. Now one of our other picks reportedly might be getting done soon too.
Independent director Bobby Huntley has put together a trailer for his project ‘NE Heartbreak: The New Edition Story’ which he is trying to get picked up. The film is not official and has no affiliation with the guys of NE but Huntley wants to bring awareness to the project.
“I put together this trailer/sizzle reel because I’ve always wanted to bring the New Edition story to life. Hopefully you guys like it. Hopefully the NE camp will like it and consider me and my team to help bring this story out to the world.” he revealed.
NE themselves have been planning a film about their story for years so hopefully this project will gain their support and Huntley can get more funding to make sure the production top notch. Check out more info on the project HERE and peep the trailer below.
