Issa Rae is booked, busy, and says she’s in her mogul era!
The comedian/actress stopped by ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ days ago to dish on all she has going on including her new roles in the upcoming ‘Barbie’ movie and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ her plans to build a studio in South L.A., and more.
She also dished on ending her hit show ‘Insecure’ and if she misses it, and gave singer/actress, Brandy her flowers and reveals that she is one of the first people who inspired her to get in the business.
She reveals that after being a huge Brandy fan, she was able to attend a live taping of ‘Moesha’ in the 90s when she was younger, which fueled her passion to be an actress and create her own shows.

Fans will recall this isn’t the first time that Issa has shown Brandy love, as she previously honored Brandy by dressing as Moesha for a GQ magazine tribute to Black TV Icons back in 2018. Brandy returned the love by thanking Issa for portraying her in the shoot.
