Teyana Taylor has been receiving an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from fans and her industry peers following her announcement last week that she plans to retire from making music.

The singer cited lack of support from her label, and overall feeling underappreciated in the industry. The revelation came just days after she took to social media to vent after not receiving any nominations for the upcoming Grammys.

She also took to social media to do a live where she vented her frustrations.

Since then the singer has received support from many of her peers, but on Thursday she received arguably the most coveted co-sign to date.

Her mentor and friend, Janet Jackson took to Instagram to issue an open letter of support in honor of Teyana on her 30th birthday.
