Fans of Wendy Williams were shocked to hear the news days ago of the sudden passing of her mother, Shirley Williams.

While the news broke on Sunday, Wendy took to her show on Monday morning and suggested that her mother’s passing actually occurred quite some time ago–although no specific date or details were provided.

Now, on Friday it has been announced that the daytime diva will be taking a break for the rest of the year to grieve and be with her family.

Fans can expect to see her back with live shows in January. Get into the announcement below.
