Jay-Z is not playing games regarding his name, reputation, and legacy!
The Hip-Hop Titan became the topic of conversation on Sunday (Dec. 8) when he was named in a new lawsuit aimed at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The music mogul was named in a civil lawsuit alongside Diddy, that alleges they raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000, according to the report.
The lawsuit filed by the Texas-based Tony Buzbee was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York, and Combs was listed as the defendant. NBC News reports it was refiled Sunday to include Jay-Z, whose full name is Shawn Carter.
The accuser is ID’ed as Jane Doe in the suit. The assault allegedly happened after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, where a female celebrity watched while the assault took place.
Shortly after the news began making its rounds online, Jay-Z issued an official statement via Roc Nation denouncing the allegations and lawsuit.
He also vows to bring down Tony Buzbee over the scandalous accusations and suit and challenges him and the alleged accusers to file a criminal complaint instead of a civil lawsuit for money.
