Lizzo Celebrates Her Historic Grammy Win For Record Of The Year: “The Last Time a Black Woman Won ROTY Was Whitney Houston For ‘I Will Always Love You’ [Photos/Video]

Lizzo is still celebrating and reflecting on her big win at Sunday night’s 65th Annual Grammys, where she took home one of the big ones–Record of The Year for her massive hit ‘About Damn Time.’

Following the win last night, the global superstar took to social media to reflect on the moment and revealed that she doesn’t take her win lightly, since the last time a black woman won the ROTY honor was Whitney Houston for ‘I Will Always Love You’ at the 36th Annual Grammys in 1994.
