Drake just dropped his highly anticipated album VIEWS on Friday, April 29 and already the rapper is set to dominate Billboard charts. In fact, the rapper claims he has received word that he has already pushed over half a million copies in his first day of release.
Although official numbers won’t be tallied until next week, the Toronto rapper appeared at an event last night in Toronto and after being pulled on stage, he revealed that he was notified that the set has already moved 630 units within hours of its release. He took the moment to thank his fans and his hometown for their support.
“I got a text message that we sold, like, 630,000 some records in one night.” he shared.
If the estimates are true and its just day one of release, we can only imagine what his final totals will be after a full week of sales and streaming totals. Get into the announcement below.
