During her appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ last night, Brandy revealed that she has some new television projects in the works following the final season of ‘The Game’ on BET, although she couldn’t give much detail on them.
Well less than 24 hours later we now have confirmed one of those TV projects. In addition to being scouted by Lee Daniels himself for her to appear on his hit show ‘Empire’ after she completes her stint on Broadway, now the ‘Full Moon’ singer has inked a deal for her own show.
Brandy and her former BFF Kelly Rowland (who she shares the same birthday with) have both landed BET shows set to air in 2016 according to a press release from the network themselves. Get info on the titles and premise behind their respective projects below.
Zoe Moon
A romantic comedy featuring Zoë Moon (Brandy Norwood), a newly divorced single mom embarking on her new life and career as a fledgling cosmetics mogul — but it won’t be easy. Her ex-husband is not ready to take a back seat in her life, nor is her precocious 10 year-old son ready for her new dating life.
Chasing Destiny
As a founding member of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland knows what it takes to win. The talented vocalist, actor and competition judge has joined forces with BET to launch Chasing Destiny, a multiplatform search for the next blazing hot singing sensation that will bring together young women with all that’s required to meet Kelly Rowland’s standards for excellence.
The site also reports that model/actress Eva Marcille has also landed a new show ‘About The Business’. Check out the full list of new shows coming to the network as well as their returning lineup HERE.
