Mary J. Blige has just announced the return of her wildly popular ‘Strength of a Woman Festival’ and the star-studded lineup.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and Pepsi took to social media on Wednesday (March 8) to announce the second annual SOAW Festival in partnership with Live Nation Urban. The festival returns to Atlanta with four days devoted to music, comedy, female empowerment, resource sharing, community building, and more from May 11-14th.
The second annual festival comes after last year’s inaugural one was announced, and sold out in hours. MJB spoke on her excitement around being able to do it a second year in a row and expanding the footprint for the festival.
This year’s festival will not only feature performances but will be a full 4-day experience with music, panels, comedy, a gospel brunch, a ball, parties, surprises, and much more.
“I’m so excited to bring our Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit back to Atlanta for its second year,” Blige shares. “Having the opportunity to continue to uplift, inspire, and build amongst a community of women is the reason why we created this festival. I’m so grateful for all of the support from our performers and participants and of course Live Nation Urban, Pepsi and our additional partners who are committed to celebrating and creating community for black women.”
