K. Michelle was vindicated last week after a long court battle with her ex MempHitz after he filed a defamation lawsuit against her and the producers of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ after K made accusations of abuse with her ex. Although she never said his name at any point, he took her to court and claimed that the accusations were detrimental to his career.

For over two years Memp, his now estranged wife Toya Wright and their friends (Tamar Braxton, Rasheeda, etc.) have had issue with K over the accusations. In Memph’s suit he was seeking $15 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages, but that all went out of the window after Fulton County judge Robert McBurney decided to side with the defendants last week.

To win the defamation case, Memph had to prove K. Michelle’s allegations that he physically abused her were false, that he is more a private figure than a public figure (where the bar is far higher to prove defamation and “actual malice” has to be proven) and that the production companies and VH1 aired this information knowing it was false. He also had to prove the allegations were “injurious to his reputation and was published with a degree of fault at least amounting to negligence.”

Wright in depositions acknowledged he got into a physical altercation with K Michelle in a Memphis hotel altercation in 2009 and had spent money from Jive Records’ budget for jewelry, not to help her career as he was supposed to. He had also allegedly sent a text message threatening to kill K. Michelle’s son. That content of the text was bleeped out on the show, negating its import in the case.

Ultimately the judge felt Memphitz did not prove his case and now he is not too happy about the judgement and has taken to social media in an attempt to discredit K. Michelle.

He posted a series of Instagram videos with clips of K. Michelle from interviews as well as a scene from ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ as well as clips of her deposition, in an effort to prove the point that she is a liar and that parts of her story were inconsistent. To us it proves nothing more than that he is just very bitter about the situation and needs to move on but if you are interested, check out his posts below.
