R&B singer Monica has been touring for weeks and is just days away (Dec 18) from releasing her new album ‘Code Red’ and on Wednesday (Dec 16) the singer visited ‘The Breakfast Club’.
During her stop she opened up on dating and marrying Shannon Brown and the issues that come along with being a basketball wife including the groupies and alleged cheating. She also revealed that for many years she was very insecure about herself and dating due to the past relationships.
She also dished on the drama that went down between she and Brandy when they were younger based solely on the fact that outside forces including fans and the media were pitting them against each other. Even after the two linked up to record the single ‘It All Belongs To Me’ back in 2012, rumors were circulating that they weren’t getting along behind the scenes but Mo squashes all those allegations.
Elsewhere, she opened up on the rumors of alleged issues with Ciara, Keri Hilson and Keyshia Cole and the status of their relationships. Watch the full interview below.
The veteran singer made the entire album available for stream leading up to its December 18 release. The album is preceded by the singles ‘Just Right For Me’, ‘Hustler’s Ambition’, and the title track. The project features appearances by Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Akon and Lil Wayne.
