The Georgia peaches are getting a new friend to the show for ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ Season 14 ahead of its Spring 2022 premiere.
Filming for S14 has been officially underway since October after it was announced that Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey were both departing the show as we previously told you.
Now it’s looking like the cast (and friends of the cast)–which includes Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, first-time peach holder Marlo Hampton, returning fan fave, Sheree Whitfield, and newbie Sanya Richards-Ross (all in full-time roles)–is growing courtesy of Kandi’s good friend Monyetta Shaw.
Monyetta has been spotted filming with the ladies recently and is even joining them on their second cast trip that is currently filming this week.
For those not aware, Monyetta is a former reality star who became popular for being the ex-fiancé of the singer/producer/songwriter, Ne-Yo. She previously appeared on the VH1 reality show ‘Atlanta Exes‘ and is the founder of the Evan Grace Group. She is also the author of multiple publications including two children’s books and motivational speaker.
Monyetta and Kandi have been good friends for quite some time, but it’s only been recently that she’s been spotted at a few cast tapings including a one at Sheree’s estate, Chateau Sheree just this week ahead of the trip.
She’s also posted some snaps confirming that she’s joined the ladies on their second girls/cast trip for the season.

While it’s not confirmed if she will serve as an official “friend” or just a “guest,” Monyetta isn’t the only newbie vying for a spot on the new season.
As we also previously told you, rapper/actress LightSkinKeisha was also spotted filming earlier this season at an event hosted by Marlo, and Angela Simmons was also in attendance and filming with the ladies.
