Must See: Brandy, Teyana Taylor, H.E.R. & Erykah Badu SLAY 'I Wanna Be Down/Ladies First' Cypher at BET Hip Hop Awards 2020

Tuesday night BET held its 2020 Hip Hop Awards and per usual the show delivered some great moments including its classic and fan-favorite freestyle cyphers.

This year saw BET honor R&B vocal bible Brandy with a cypher inspired by her hit single ‘I Wanna Be Down‘ from her 1994 debut album.

Bran previously reunited with MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards to perform the remix of the single to mark its 20 year anniversary.

Well, on Tuesday’s show the singer returned backed by some of her female counterparts such as H.E.R., Teyana Taylor, and the recurring cypher DJ/host Erykah Badu for the 2020 ‘Ladies First Cypher.’

The ladies delivered a cypher backed by the ‘I Wanna Be Down’ track, and Bran even hopped in and spit a few bars after singing her classic hook to the track.
