Just hours after the grand jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson for the slaying of unarmed teen Mike Brown, the officer is sitting down for his first exclusive interview since the announcement was made late Monday night.  He will sit with ABCâs George Stephanopoulos for a special that will be aired in full later this evening.
In a preview of their sit-down, Wilson says that he never shot towards Mike Brownâs back and that he feared for his life after Mike Brown reached in his car and went for his gun.
Wilson said that he was sorry that Brown had died, but âhe would not do anything differently that day,â according to Stephanopoulos. âHe did what he was trained to do. He was simply doing his job.â
The ABC News host asked Wilson if things âwould have gone down any differently if Michael Brown were white.â
âAbsolutely not,â Wilson reportedly replied, adding that he had a âclean conscience.â
