N.O.R.E. is responding to ongoing backlash after he released the latest episode of his wildly popular ‘Drink Champs’ podcast this weekend that featured Kanye West.

The controversial rapper joined N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s and continued with his hate-speech train by making more anti-Semitic remarks, falsely claiming that George Floyd died of fentanyl consumption rather than being restrained by former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin, and defended his controversial White Lives Matter shirt and stance.

N.O.R.E. has received endless backlash on social media for giving Ye a platform to promote his dangerous rhetoric especially after it was revealed that ‘The Shop,’ a talk show starring LeBron James, will not air an episode taped with Kanye, after he made several anti-Semitic and offensive comments there as well.

N.O.R.E. says he now regrets letting Kanye on the podcast.

“I sincerely apologize to anybody that was hurt by Kanye’s words, by Kanye’s actions because I didn’t really realize it,” he said. “Sometimes you’re so much into the interview, you’re not even in the interview.”

“I should have checked him right then and there. I’m here to say that I apologize to anybody who feels that I let them down ’cause I feel like I did let them down to a certain extent. I did check him later, but by the time I checked him, it was already kinda too late.”

George Floyd’s family is considering legal action against Kanye for his remarks. Civil rights attorney Lee Merritt tweeted on the matter.

While one cannot defame the dead, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death.

Claiming Floyd died from fentanyl not the brutality established criminally and civilly undermines & diminishes the Floyd family’s fight.
