This week Mariah Carey announced a new project ‘The Rarities‘–which would be complete with a string of unreleased music and some live performances for fans.
The double-sided album won’t arrive until Oct 2, but on Friday came one of the sets highly touted tracks, ‘Save The Day‘ ft. Lauryn Hill. The track is based off a previously-written song that was never completed and samples Lauryn’s vocals
The song which ironically samples the Fugees 1996 classic ‘Killing Me Softly’ was produced by MC’s friend/frequent collaborator Jermaine Dupri.
