For weeks there has been much speculation surrounding the marriage of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, and just as we did with the many Beyonce and Jay Z rumors, we opted out of posting these stories unless the “source” was from the horses mouth. Well in what will come as sad news to many, Nick has confirmed that the rumors regarding he and Mariah separating are indeed true. According to HuffingtonPost:
Cannon confirmed to Yahoo’s The Insider host Chris Spencer that he and Carey are currently living apart.
âThere is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months,â The “America’s Got Talent” host said.
The 33-year-old did, however, quash the rumor that the problems in his marriage are due to infidelity.
The couple, who has been married since 2008, have 3-year-old twins together, Monroe and Moroccan.
âMy main focus is my kids,â Cannon told The Insider.
Rumors began to swirl this week after The New York Post’s Page Six reported Carey and Cannon are “living separately.” The report also included that Carey has allegedly suspected him of cheating and has hired security to keep watch on him during club appearances.
With Nick confirming the split and saying they have been separated for months, it makes the speculation that the two will be finalizing their divorce in the coming days that much more believable. Unfortunate news!
