Could the long-standing feud between Hip-Hop Queens, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Kim finally be over? It looks like it just might be.
Kim made headlines last year during the 2021 BET Awards when she revealed that she would like to do a Verzuz with Minaj, which Minaj recently teased she would be down for while teasing that the Verzuz team has approached her with the idea.
Now, Nicki is extending some fresh love to Kim via a new interview with Joe Budden during a recent episode of his Joe Budden Podcast.
The discussion happened as the two were discussing female rappers not getting their respect with some mainstream platforms, specifically Vogue magazine. Nicki revealed that she feels she should have graced the cover of the esteemed outlet, but also took the opportunity to extend the same grace to Kim.
“Let me make sure I say this… because you know how they like to twist my words.
The same way I feel I should have been on the cover of American Vogue, so should Lil Kim (have been). If we being all the way a thousand.
If this is what your magazine represents…influence. [How do you not grant us covers]. If we being honest. Because when myself or Lil Kim goes on the internet, every day we see our influence. We will see our influence. So, I’m not gonna say it’s about me only and not give that woman [Kim] her dues.”
