Fresh off last night’s highly anticipated Verzuz battle between B2K and Pretty Ricky, Omarion has officially released his new project, O2: Part 1.
The new album arrives at the perfect time, as fans are still buzzing over B2K’s return to the Verzuz stage, where Omarion, J-Boog, Lil Fizz, and Raz-B went head-to-head with Pretty Ricky in a nostalgic celebration of 2000s R&B boy band greatness.
During the battle, B2K took fans down memory lane with classics including “Uh Huh,” “Gots Ta Be,” “Girlfriend,” “Bump, Bump, Bump,” and more. But the group did not stop at nostalgia — they also used the moment to officially usher in their next era.
Following the battle, B2K dropped their brand-new single “Mileage,” which also debuted during the Verzuz. The track marks the group’s first new music release in more than two decades and serves as the first taste of their forthcoming album.
For longtime fans, the moment was major. After years of reunions, tours, public ups and downs, and fans hoping for a true musical comeback, “Mileage” signals that B2K is officially back in album mode.
Meanwhile, Omarion’s O2: Part 1 continues his solo journey and follows the legacy of his Grammy-nominated debut album, O. The project has been teased as part of his new era, with previously released singles including “For War,” “Fantasy,” and “The One.”
The timing could not be more strategic. After reminding fans of his B2K roots during Verzuz, Omarion is now balancing both sides of his artistry — celebrating the group’s legacy while pushing forward with his solo evolution.
For fans of 2000s R&B, this week has been a full-circle moment: B2K and Pretty Ricky facing off on Verzuz, B2K debuting new music, the release of “Mileage,” and a new Omarion album all arriving in one major rollout.
With O2: Part 1 now available and B2K’s forthcoming album officially loading, Omarion and the group are proving they are not just revisiting the past — they are building on it.
