Just days ago, iconic Hip-Hop group Outkast celebrated the 25th anniversary of their third album ‘Aquemini,’ and the 20th anniversary of their 2003 ‘Speakerboxx/The Love Below’ album and now the duo has even more reason to celebrate.

The RIAA has confirmed that ‘Speakerboxx/The Love Below’ is now certified 13x platinum, making it the best-selling rap album of all time in the United States.

The double album which is a cult classic and fan fave now takes the top spot dethroning Eminem’s ‘The Eminem Show,’ which was certified 12x platinum in 2022.

Big Boi took to social media to celebrate and show off their group’s shiny new diamond-plus plaque along with the caption:

“Special delivery just in time for the 20th anniversary 9/23/03 … #speakerboxxxthelovebelow Over 13 Million albums sold. ( Diamond & a 3.5 ) What Are Your Jams? @ outkast is everlasting. Stank You Smelly Much …To All Y’all 🛸”

The album spawned the no. 1 hits, ‘Hey Ya’ and ‘I Like The Way You Move.’

It’s also worth noting that every album by OutKast has achieved at least platinum status, with 2000’s ‘Stankonia’ being their second highest seller, with over five million copies sold.

Overall, the best-selling album in the U.S. across all genres is the Eagles’ greatest hits compilation from 1971-75, which went 38x platinum. Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ clocks in next with 34x platinum status.
