'Power' Season 5 Premiere Dominates Sunday Night Cable Ratings, 'Pose' Stays Steady In Top 25

Fans of FX‘s ‘Pose‘ have been fighting to keep the series on steady ground following a shaky early start and last week the show earned it’s biggest ratings yet. Well this Sunday, the show dropped just a bit but still maintained it’s ratings average and stayed in the top 25 Sunday broadcasts for cable TV.

Who took the top spot? None other than the return of Starz networks mega hit ‘Power‘ which premiered it’s long awaited season 5. Where did they both place? According to TV By The Numbers, ‘Power’ premiered to a smaller audience than Season 4, but it was still the top original show on cable in adults 18-49 Sunday. It also earned a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.55 million viewers, vs. 0.8 and 1.68 million for the fourth-season premiere. ‘Pose’ brought in a modest 582, 000 viewers.
