It looks like taping for season 8 of Real Housewives of Atlanta is currently underway. Despite rumors of producers struggling to pull together a solid cast after the sudden departure of Nene Leakes, it looks like the folks at Bravo have pulled it together and production has moved full steam ahead.
Kandi Burruss who just announced that she and her husband Todd Tucker are expecting their first child together held a showcase for her two new groups The Loud Band and Glamour. The showcase was reportedly filmed for the upcoming season and several of the staple ladies were in attendance including Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey. We assume its safe to say although Bravo has not confirmed it all the ladies are back, in some capacity if not a full time wife.
No sign of rumored new cast members Kim Fields who is screen testing to see if she will earn a final spot when the official cast announcements come out in a few months. It was also reported that Kandi’s good friend Fantasia was rumored to be screen testing for a role on the reality series as well but that has not been confirmed as of yet.
Good to know that the filming has officially started and with Porsha announcing her new relationship, Kandi’s pregnancy, and Phaedra moving on post Apollo it will be interesting to see what twists and turns the ladies bring to their story lines this new season. Stay tuned.
