On Oct. 14 it was revealed that that the current season of “America’s Next Top Model” would be the final for the reality competition which has run for 22 seasons/13 years.
Well now according to reports the show is getting a second chance at life by being resurrected by a potential cable company or streaming service.
Although no confirmation of this has come from Tyra Banks or her production team, Deadline reported the story on Thursday (Nov 5):
While the reality veteran is ending its run on the CW with a series finale on Dec. 4, I hear there is a possibility for a 23rd cycle elsewhere. I’ve learned that a new Top Model installment is currently being pitched to cable and streaming outlets. It is being shepherded by Top Model executive producer/showrunner Ken Mok. I hear the potential reboot is being done with co-creator/star Tyra Banks’ support. She is expected to continue as an executive producer, should Top Model find a new home. Her potential on-screen involvement is unclear at this time.
I would be here for a re-brand of the show on a new network (VH1, Oxygen, etc.), perhaps with a new roster of judges with Tyra still at the helm. Are you here for ANTM continuing on?
