In a move that we saw coming from the very beginning, we have just learned that Bravo is beginning to make cuts and some additions for the new season of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’. Just a day after its sister show ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ learned that two of its cast members would be getting the boot, now RHOA has lost last season’s addition Claudia Jordan who was let go for season 8.
According to TMZ, we’re told that producers gave her the ax this week … and she didn’t see it coming.
Jordan got a lot of face time last season by standing up to the show’s O.G. Nene Leakes. Fact is … Kenya Moore also mouthed off to Nene, but she’s earned her stripes over time.
The new season begins filming next month in ATL. Bravo hasn’t decided if Claudia can come back for guest appearances.
Her dismissal makes her the first ‘Wife’ to be given the boot after one season after Deshawn Snow left the show after its first cycle. Claudia was brought in last season at the recommendation of then executive producer Carlos King, who recently left the show as an EP after working there since the show’s first season.
Many fans cited Claudia as being ‘boring’ and having no significant storyline during last season outside of her blatant attempts at starting feuds with Porsha Williams and Nene Leakes at an attempt to gain camera time. Throughout the season viewers made it very well known via social media that they were not happy with Claudia’s presence, and although she had some supports it appears the naysayers outweighed those few.
