When it comes to Kendrick Lamar, the Compton bred rapper doesn’t always get his just due. However thanks to “Rolling Stone” he is ending 2015 on a high note and one that we think is very fitting.
The highly respected publication just unveiled their coveted Rolling Stone‘s 50 Best Albums of 2015 list and Kendrick lands straight in the top spot beating out acts such as Adele, Drake and more.
The album which serves as his third, welcomed 324,000 units in its first week of release back in March and despite the fact that other acts have shifted more units than his, the body of work itself is the best according to the outlet and if I must say so myself.
“Musically, lyrically and emotionally, Kendrick Lamar’s third album is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece – a sprawling epic that’s both the year’s most bumptious party music and its most gripping therapy session.” the outlet declares about the album.
Adele’s record breaking album “25” which arrived just last week claims the no. 2 spot, while Drake, The Weeknd and D’Angelo round out the top 10.
