With season 8 of Real Housewives of Atlanta production underway in a matter of weeks and the news arriving that one its biggest cast members has departed, all eyes are on Bravo (Hi Andy!) as we see how the network will revamp the brand and make sure it maintains its crown as the networks top rated series.
As usual much speculation about who will be staying and who will be coming on is going on, and its been confirmed that Kim Fields will be joining the fold. Now our fave former RHOA Sheree Whitfield is speaking out about the many reports of her returning.
She alluded in a cryptic IG post a few weeks ago that she might be returning but never officially confirmed. Well Sheree has now spoken out on the rumors of her return, thanked her fans for their on going support and says what it would take for her to return to the show.
In a recent post to her Instagram account Sheree wrote:
“FYI… Ur comments, ur continued request for my return, ur loyalty and support have not gon overlooked by me especially over the last 4+ years…I may not always get a moment to respond or acknowledge u guys but i 👀 u! I 💙 u guys, I appreciate u guys and I thank yall for continuing to ✔ for me! 💯 💯 💯 #NothingButLove **** Hey guys, let me b clear this post isn’t only about the RHOA its about the continued love and support I receive in person as well as via social media just IN general! 💙 Now on to HW….To me the show has changed from the original concept and not for the better. It seems cold, negative and dark! Its not fun anymore. We threw our shade of course, had our arguments but we also made time for family, our girl time, fun and we actually had REAL stories to tell that our viewers were able to relate to. We laughed, we cried, we read… But we still maintained a sense of respect. Now EVERY scene is pretty much negative, there are no storylines (or very few) don’t get me wrong, the girls luv a good ole read but just not every scene! Lighten it up, get some REAL storylines, allow the girls to laugh, to have fun bcuz contrary to what they believe, black women don’t argue, fight and throw shade ALL day Everyday!! Not sure who is responsible but #FixitJesus bcuz its an amazing brand #RHOA If I’m a viewer or a part of it, I just want to see a REAL, entertaining show that engages me and holds my attention past a fight. I could hardly watch last season and definitely not the season prior! #myopinion.”
Anyone who follows this site knows I am a big supporter of Sheree, and I totally agree with her thoughts and hopefully Bravo can get a grip on the show. The drama is always fun, of course that is why we watch.
However, the constant drama coming from those who don’t have significant story lines and use the drama as an attempt to skate by is quite obvious, luckily for us Claudia Jordan was let go. Perhaps that and the addition of some new ladies will create a new fun dynamic. As long as Phaedra, Porsha and Kandi are back we are good with whatever changes they make.
