Another day, another Rihanna beef, and now the ‘Navy’ commander has set her sights on legendary girl group TLC.
Rihanna made major headlines as usual this week when she unveiled her Josephine Baker inspired see through dress at this week’s CFDA Awards, and sent social media into a frenzy of debate as to whether the outfit was appropriate or not. Many called it high fashion and risque’ however others felt that the outfit was distasteful and inappropriate.
During an Australian interview this week TLC revealed that they are on the latter side of the debate after being quizzed on their thoughts of Rihanna and her need to show so much skin. T-Boz revealed:
Everytime I see you, you don’t have to be naked. And it’s hard for us to say anything cause any time we say something, it’s “TLC, oh they must be jealous!” First of all, let me say this. It is what it is. I call a spade a spade, okay? We sold and became the biggest girl selling group of all time, with our clothes on. That says a lot. It’s easy to sell sex. We can go around with boobie cakes [breasts] all day long. They’re small. We don’t have a lot, but they’re still boobie cakes!
Of course never one to turn her ear or mouth away from the streets Riri addressed TLC’s comments in her usual fashion–Twitter. She shared the following images to mock the ladies’ contradictory statements
Ouch!!!!!! and of course Twitter is ablaze with debate over the issue
