Tami Roman went viral this week after an appearance on ‘The Real‘ where she dished on her upcoming projects, reality TV, and more. However, it was her shocking statement regarding her pregnancy journey and where she and her husband, Reggie Youngblood are at with the process.
Tami surprised co-hosts Garcelle Beauvais and Adrienne Bailon Haughton when they asked for an update on her pregnancy journey and Tami revealed that she recently proposed to Reggie that they take “a pause” on their surrogacy plans and instead, she “offered” him an opportunity to “go find someone to have a child with.”
Tami revealed that at this stage in her life it is not the right time for her to have a child and that her career “is starting to reward me for all of my efforts and the time that I’ve been in this business, and a baby for me right now would just not be the thing to do.”
She says she offered Reggie the opportunity to take a break for a year or two and let him go find someone to have a child with. And then when he has his baby, they could get back together.

The clip instantly went viral and set social media, and the streets on fire as the debate began on whether it is acceptable to allow your man to take a break to have children with someone else.
Many folks believe that Tami is playing with fire, and might ultimately regret her decision, while others commended the reality star-actress for her “selfless” act to help her husband who has no children build his legacy as he has no children. Tami, who is 51, has two grown children Lyric and Jazz Anderson from her ex-husband, Kenny Anderson.
Well, on Friday Tami took to her YouTube channel to release a video clarifying her statements and giving more clarity on what she meant by “take a break.”
Tami says that despite people assuming that she meant “go find a girlfriend, and stick it in” to have a baby, that is not what she meant. She even details some of the struggles that the couple faced trying to get pregnant that led to her decision to offer Reggie this option, which she said he has declined.
