The infamous Wendy Williams biopic is finally on the way and reportedly headed to Lifetime, and now one of the actresses who were in the running for the lead role has revealed herself.
Former ‘Basketball Wives‘ star Tami Roman took to Instagram on Thursday to share throwback footage of her on an audition for the role of the daytime diva.
In the clip caption, Tami reveals that she ultimately did not snag the role, but did have a lot of fun with the audition.
The Wendy Williams biopic has been in the works for quite some time, in fact over two decades. It was initially set to arrive years before her daytime talk show aired and had landed its leading lady in veteran actress Robin Givens.
Williams and Givens have both previously confirmed the original biopic, but it was later scrapped once Williams landed her talk show for unknown reasons. Now years later, Williams is ready to tell her full story.
