After years of hard work and grinding, Taraji P. Henson has officially landed herself a highly coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame according to fresh reports.
The veteran actress and ‘Empire’ star will be honored at the official ceremony later this month and will be bestowed the honor with her peers and colleagues by her side.
According to Ana Martinez, the Producer Of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, the hardworking, multiple award-winning actress will receive a star on Monday, January 28, 2019. Martinez said in a statement,
“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability. We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”
The honor of Henson, who has an extensive career in television, will be the 2,597th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, after Hollywood actress, Viola Davis received the 2,596th star at last year ceremony. It was also said that “Boyz In The Hood” director John Singleton and rapper Mary J Blige will speak at the big ceremony.
Congrats Queen! Taraji took to IG after the announcement to celebrate in the moment with a clip from a previous speech she did detailing naysayers who attempted to stifle her career.
