The conflicting reports surrounding Bobbi Kristina and her current state are getting ridiculous and now its all at the hands of the family not the media. On Saturday Bobby Brown did a concert where he revealed to the crowd that Bobbi was “awake” which we reported on Sunday. Following that Bobby’s sister took to her Facebook on Monday to also confirm that Bobbi was off life support and awake.
Well now Bobbi’s maternal family the Houston’s are saying that those reports that Bobby and his sis are spreading are completely false. Via TMZ:
Bobby and Tina Brown are absolutely wrong … Bobbi Kristina is not off life support and remains unresponsive … this according to the Houston family.
Sources connected with the Houstons tell TMZ, they have no idea where Bobby Brown is getting his information that Bobbi Kristina was awake, nor do they know why Tina said she’s awake and no longer on life support. Gossip Cop first reported the conflicting positions between the Browns and the Houstons.
We’re told the Houstons are clear … “She’s in the exact same condition she was in when she went into the facility.” They say there is “minimal” reaction … an occasional eye blink, but that’s it.
The Houstons say Bobbi Kristina is still on a ventilator.
At this point we think the entire family should keep quiet and stop issuing statements and making reports based on personal gain, emotions or whatever is prompting them to keep misinforming the public. They requested privacy weeks ago, yet they are providing misinformation to the press and public.
Update:
Cissy Houston spoke with PEOPLE on Monday and clarified the status of Bobbi Kristina’s condition. According to Cissy,. what Bobby Brown revealed was partially true, Bobbi Kris is out of her coma. However, she is still brain dead and according to doctors there is irreversible damage.
“I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive,” Houston said in a statement to PEOPLE.
